Junior GK training sessions to be put on by Ludlow Hockey Club.
Nick Lewis has agreed to run regular GK training sessions for junior keepers in Shropshire in collaboration with LHC. Once a half term, on a Sunday, he will run a 2 hour session at our training pitch at Moor Park School.
The cost will be between £12-15 per session. He has also offered to do a training session near the end of August. No times and dates have been fixed yet as pitch availability is to be confirmed . He can only take a max of 8 players at a time but we will run two sessions on the same day divided by age and ability.
Any junior keepers that would like extra GK training should contact Angela at littleang99@yahoo.com
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch for more information. The goal is to help our young keepers develop their skills and improve the overall level of play on Shropshire pitches.
Whitchurch HC are not involved with the running of these sessions.
The aim of the session is to encourage young people with physical and intellectual disabilities to play hockey, even if they have no previous experience of the sport.
If the session is well attended, we will look to develop a Shropshire Flyerz Hockey Club in the future and organise regular sessions.
The session will take place between 10.30am and 12pm at Meole Brace, Shrewsbury.
It will be led by qualified coaches and the cost of attending is £5, which can be paid on the day.
